    Description

    SYSTEM & NETWORK ADMINISTRATORUnder the direction of the IT - Manager- Operations, the Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for providing server and network administration support to ensure the stable operation of computer systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing all servers and network equipment, software and communication links.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least four (4) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with implementing and administering network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within a Windows Server environment: -Firewalls- HP, and Aruba network switches- Wireless Access Points- HP server platforms- Windows Server Active Directory- Back Up software and related backup tape drive- Desktop and laptop installation and problem resolution in a Windows environment.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solve problems, and instructs or train lesser skilled employees. Must have the ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence. Must be able to write standard reports and documentation.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include computer, various precision measuring devices and lifting devices. Requires a broad knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, and general manufacturing and machining practices. Should be knowledgeable and/or familiar with applicable ISO/TS and quality system requirements and policies.
