Summary

Internship Objective

Support the Global Applications documentation initiative by accelerating the creation and population of a centralized repository for SAP and JD Edwards. Establish a repeatable, AI-assisted process for documenting existing business processes, customizations, dependencies, and application knowledge.

Build and populate the centralized documentation repository for selected SAP and JDE functional areas. Create current-state process documentation, customization profiles, draft functional and technical specifications, dependency and impact documentation, an ownership matrix, a documentation status dashboard, and an assessment of documentation gaps and AI effectiveness.

What You'll Do:

• Review SAP and JDE custom objects, metadata, and existing documentation to understand current system functionality and business processes.
• Research historical artifacts, change tickets, Jira items, CAB records, testing documentation, and related materials to gather technical and business context.
• Identify documentation gaps and opportunities to improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of system documentation.
• Leverage approved AI tools to create technical summaries, process flows, draft specifications, dependency inventories, and other supporting documentation.
• Develop, update, and maintain documentation to support system knowledge management and future enhancements.
• Organize and maintain documentation repositories, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and easy to access.
• Coordinate reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), capture feedback, and incorporate revisions into final deliverables.
• Support initiatives to standardize documentation practices and improve knowledge transfer across IT and business teams.

What You'll Bring:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program in a relevant discipline at an accredited university, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029 (rising junior or rising senior).
• Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills

• Target majors: Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field.
• Basic knowledge of AI and generative AI tools
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation abilities.
• Ability to organize, synthesize, and validate information from multiple sources.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including fact-checking AI-generated content.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts, databases, and system integrations.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, code, and configuration artifacts.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

What You'll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and may change over time.
