South Ogden City is looking for a part-time IT Support Specialist to help keep City technology running smoothly.This is a part-time position with flexible hours and would be a great opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field who wants to gain hands-on experience while attending school.Municipal IT provides exposure to a wide variety of technology and operations. One day you may be troubleshooting an employee's workstation, and the next you may be assisting with public-safety technology, network connectivity, or a Citywide IT project.With part-time, flexible hours, this position is especially well suited for a college student looking to build practical IT experience while continuing their education.What you'll doProvide first-line technical support to City employeesTroubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issuesInstall and maintain computers, workstations, and peripheral equipmentSupport City applications, email systems, MDTs, and public-safety technologyAssist with network connectivity and City IT projectsWork with City staff and third-party IT professionals to resolve technical issuesApplicants should have:A high school diploma or equivalent and be pursuing education in a related fieldApproximately one year of related IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBasic knowledge of computers, hardware, software, networking, and troubleshootingStrong customer service and communication skillsA valid Utah driver's licenseAbility to pass a BCI background checkStarting hourly rate $24 to $29 depending on experience.
