IT Operations Lead / Site IT Engineer
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Lead / Site IT Engineer to oversee IT systems, infrastructure, and service delivery for a designated site or region. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring stable operations, delivering high-quality IT services, and aligning IT strategy with business objectives.
This role supports a wide range of systems, including end-user computing (EUC), enterprise applications, ERP systems, networks, storage, and product development platforms.
Position Overview
The IT Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring all IT infrastructure and services within the assigned site or region are stable, secure, cost-effective, and optimized. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with business leaders, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT operations and service delivery for the assigned site or region.
- Ensure infrastructure environments are stable, optimized, and cost-effective.
- Manage service level agreements (SLAs) across EUC, servers, storage, backup, and network systems.
- Partner with business leaders to align IT operations with organizational goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of IT engineers and support staff.
- Oversee change control, incident management, and problem management processes (ITIL-based).
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and repairs with internal teams and external vendors.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for IT service delivery.
Operational & Technical Duties:
- Take ownership of all IT incidents and initiatives impacting the site.
- Provide hands-on support as needed to restore operations quickly.
- Identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Manage asset tracking and ensure CMDB accuracy.
- Oversee data recovery, backup processes, and business continuity planning.
- Support IT security and SOX compliance requirements.
- Lead IT system implementations and support business growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with outsourcing partners to ensure service performance and availability targets are met.
- Support project implementations at both local and corporate levels.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on IT operations and systems management.
- Solid understanding of ITIL v4 framework and service management principles.
- Experience with infrastructure technologies (servers, networks, storage, EUC environments).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
