Job Purpose:
The IT Manager is responsible for the planning, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of NorthWind's information systems hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure. The purpose is to lead the IT Team to advance NorthWind's information technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and forward-thinking infrastructure that enables every team across the organization to operate effectively. The IT Manager is accountable for the health and integrity of NorthWind's systems and cybersecurity posture, the development of a clear technology roadmap, and the proactive identification of technology opportunities that improve internal operations and customer-facing capabilities. This role reports to the Director of Administration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Leadership & Strategy
Supervise and Mentor IT Team
Cybersecurity, Risk Management, and Disaster Recovery
Own and lead NorthWind's cybersecurity strategy, establishing and maintaining comprehensive protocols for network access, monitoring, control, and threat response.
Proactively defend organizational systems against cyberattacks, data breaches, unauthorized access, and emerging security threats.
Develop, implement, and regularly review security policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current threat landscapes and regulatory requirements.
Develop, maintain, and regularly test NorthWind's Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), ensuring the organization is prepared to restore critical systems and data in the event of a disruption, cyberattack, natural disaster, or other business continuity
Safeguard confidential organizational information through rigorous access controls, monitoring, and incident response planning.
Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of all hardware, server resources, systems, and critical processes through daily monitoring and proactive risk mitigation.
