IT Manager (Temp-to-Hire)


Location:


Worcester, MA (Onsite, 5 days/week + regional travel)



Compensation:


$45–$62/hour (depending on experience)



Overview:


We are partnering with a mission-driven organization serving veterans to identify a hands-on IT Manager to lead their internal technology environment.


This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of IT operations, lead a small team, and partner with an external MSP to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.



What You’ll Do:



  • Lead and mentor internal IT staff

  • Own IT operations and partner with an MSP

  • Provide hands-on technical support when needed

  • Manage systems including O365, Azure, and infrastructure

  • Drive cybersecurity, compliance, and system performance

  • Develop and execute IT strategy and roadmap

  • Support multi-site operations and occasional travel



What We’re Looking For:



  • 5+ years of IT experience with leadership exposure

  • Strong Microsoft stack experience (O365, Azure, AD)

  • Hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset

  • Experience in multi-site or distributed environments

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Comfortable working onsite full-time



Nice-to-Have:



  • Nonprofit or mission-driven experience

  • Exposure to physical IT infrastructure (cameras, cabling)

  • Experience working alongside MSPs
