Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise network solutions across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, automation, and infrastructure-as-code environments. This role requires deep technical expertise with Arista, Cisco, BGP, OSPF, MIST wireless, Ansible, Python, RESTful APIs, and enterprise network operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced network solutions for complex routing and switching environments using Arista, Cisco, and MIST platforms.
  • Support network deployment using infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
  • Architect and manage wireless infrastructure, with a focus on MIST-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows using Ansible, Terraform, Python, RESTful APIs, and related tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align network strategy with business goals.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network designs, configurations, SOPs, and standards.
  • Evaluate emerging network technologies, tools, and vendors to improve performance, automation, and security posture.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network support.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
  • Advanced routing and switching experience, including BGP and OSPF.
  • Proficiency with Arista in data center and campus environments.
  • Hands-on experience using Arista CloudVision.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise LAN and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Strong expertise designing and managing wireless networks.
  • Advanced network automation experience using Ansible, Python, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code network deployment.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to support cross-functional teams in dynamic global environments.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • CCNP, Arista ACE L5, or equivalent certification.
  • Arista certifications.
  • MIST qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience with MIST wireless design, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Terraform experience.
  • Cloud networking experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience in OT manufacturing environments.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Financial acumen related to budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations.

Work Details

  • Hybrid role requiring 1 day per week onsite.
  • Preferred candidates are within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY.
  • Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Overtime is possible.
  • Some flexibility may be required due to work with global teams.
  • Anticipated through end of year.
  • Possibility of extension based on demand.
  • Domestic travel up to 30%; travel may be higher during critical projects.
  • Interview process includes two 45-minute video interviews, with the second round onsite in Charlotte, NC. A third round is possible if needed.
