IT Network Manager

Kforce is working with a client in Pittsburgh, PA, that is seeking a dynamic IT Network Manager to lead a small team of network professionals in a high-performance, innovative-driven environment. This role blends leadership and hands-on technical expertise supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about mentoring while remaining deeply involved in technical operations and strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

• Guide and mentor a team of network and IT professionals. • Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing training and development. • Manage daily network infrastructure tasks, including configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues to ensure uptime and performance.

Architecture & Design:

• Plan and implement scalable, secure LAN/WAN, and cloud network solutions aligned with business needs.

Security & Compliance:

• Develop and enforce network security policies. • Administer firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard data and systems.

Project Execution:

• Lead network-related IT projects from planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to define requirements, manage SLAs, and communicate performance metrics.

Documentation & Continuity:

• Maintain detailed documentation for network architecture configurations and disaster recovery plans.
