IT Operations Engineer needed for a 2-3 Month Contract in Mt. Laurel, NJ working remote.
Work Hours: Friday Tuesday, 11:00PM 8:00AM EST!
Our client is looking for an IT Operations Engineer to support a high-profile client in the professional sports industry. You will help ensure the stability and performance of critical IT infrastructure across network, server, and virtualization environments, including game-day operations.
This is a shift-based, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, communicates clearly, and takes pride in keeping systems running smoothly through the night.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor network circuits and coordinate with vendors to resolve service issues.
Troubleshoot network switch issues at Layer 1 and Layer 2 using Cisco CLI.
Support and troubleshoot wireless access points.
Administer Windows Server environments including routine maintenance and configuration.
Manage server patching via WSUS; apply security patches across servers and network devices.
Perform vulnerability remediation including server registry edits for specific mitigations.
Manage virtual machines via VMware vCenter (no ESXi configuration management required).
Perform and verify backups using Rubrik or equivalent backup platforms.
Monitor infrastructure health and availability using SolarWinds.
Perform Active Directory administration and basic troubleshooting.
Communicate clearly with business owners regarding issues, impact, and resolution steps.
Execute thorough shift handoff communications with oncoming team members.
Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks effectively throughout each shift.
