Our utility client in NYC is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure & 3rd Party Systems Integrator to support critical physical security and infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on role supporting enterprise systems, Nutanix clusters, and secure utility operations.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly regulated environment and able to pass a NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check.
A valid driver's license is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and integrate third-party software within secure infrastructure environments
  • Manage and maintain Nutanix clusters and hypervisor environments
  • Administer Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
  • Manage Active Directory including GPO configuration, backup, and recovery
  • Perform darksite patching of Nutanix hypervisors and related components
  • Monitor system health and performance; identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup, and restore operations
  • Perform patch and firmware installation and lifecycle management
  • Provide Tier 2+ end-user support when required
  • Travel to various company locations for infrastructure support
  • Participate in off-hour and on-call support rotations
Required Technical Skills
  • 8+ years of IT Support / Infrastructure experience
  • Experience managing Nutanix clusters (required)
  • Third-party software integration experience
  • Windows Server administration
  • Active Directory management
  • Storage and RAID configuration knowledge
  • Networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, routing, firewall troubleshooting)
  • Security fundamentals (ACLs, encryption)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell preferred; Bash, KSH, or Perl acceptable)
  • Experience in secure or regulated environments
Nice to Have
  • Application server software experience
  • Knowledge of physical security platforms such as Prowatch or Genetec
Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and transport server equipment as needed
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours when required
Must pass NERC CIP background screening
