Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: IT Production Support Assistant 897
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $20-$25hour

Description:

Support production applications in mainframe and midrange environments.
Create, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot production jobs.
Promote COBOL program packages using Endevor.
Manage incident tickets and document resolutions.
Operate mainframe consoles and execute scheduled jobs.
Follow production standards in a 24/7 operations environment.
Participate in team documentation, training, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
2+ years of IBM mainframe production control experience with Control-M.
2+ years of data center experience using incident tracking tools (e.g., Cherwell).
2+ years of Endevor experience managing JCL, PROCS, and source code.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

1+ year operating high-speed commercial printers (e.g., Canon varioPRINT 6220 TITAN MICR).
Must be available for rotating day, swing, or overnight shifts, including weekends.
