Universal Industries, Inc., a well-established manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment, is seeking a part-time IT Professional to join its team. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of internal computer hardware and software systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Provide technical training and support to staff on a variety of topics
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential use within the organization
- Plan and execute system upgrades, including hardware, software, security patches, and performance improvements
- Manage network security, including user accounts, permissions, firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection
- Maintain current knowledge of network infrastructure and software systems
- Develop and manage documentation for all hardware and software resources
- Ensure IT projects are completed on schedule and within budget
