DPP is seeking an IT Program Manager for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work location: Partial onsite (Tues., Wed., Thurs., and as needed)
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 contract to hire
 
Position summary:
  • This role is for a senior-level Program Manager with deep experience in formal project and program management methodologies and a proven track record delivering very large-scale IT projects within an established PMO. 
Required technology and tools:
Must be proficient with Windows-based applications, including:
  • MS Project (required)
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint
  • Visio
  • SharePoint Online
  • Teams 
Certifications:
  • Current PMP certification (preferred) 
Minimum required work experience:
  • 7 years of IT experience in a Project/Program Management capacity
  • 4+ years leading multiple concurrent projects and project teams as a Program Manager 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead large, complex, enterprise-scale programs and projects involving multiple Project Managers, application teams, and technical leads
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, deliverables, risks, quality, dependencies, and change control across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, teams, and external vendors with significant cross-functional dependencies
  • Oversee multi-stream programs with both directly and indirectly managed projects within the PMO
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and testing teams across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive status reporting, program governance updates, and executive-level briefings 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience applying structured PMO methodologies, governance frameworks, stage gates, and documentation standards (e.g., waterfall, hybrid)
  • Strong ability to communicate and present effectively to executive leadership, clearly articulating technical work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with significant cross-functional coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, MS Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • OR, Associates degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 11 years without a degree)
