Job Description

IT Programmer Analyst, Full Time, First Shift

The Analyst is responsible for independently designing, coding and support of complex computer applications which increase Customer Service, quality, market share and decrease cost of UC Health. Provides efficient and effective code development. Works with users to define information flow, reports and data requirements. Writes specifications, develops and documents operational procedures, tests software and coordinates software installations related to the Organization's Oracle ERP Fusion system.

Responsibilities

System Definition:

  • Effectively interacts with vendors and/or users to define and validate system requirements including hardware and software requirements
  • Provides clear and complete functional application and/or technical specifications effectively interacts with vendors to evaluate, select products and integrate them into UC Health Systems
  • Designs error free and comprehensive logical and/or physical databases, tables and interfaces
  • Provides information and designs for testing applications and contingency plans


System Support:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle ERP Fusion interfaces.
  • Create technical specifications for system enhancements and integration based on user requirements
  • Monitor and support production systems, interfaces, batch jobs, and nightly processes.
  • Troubleshoot application, database, and interface issues; provide timely problem resolution.
  • Develop and execute unit testing to complete data validation and code verification.
  • Ensure compliance with change management and IT governance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and end users
  • Contribute to project planning, resource estimation, and status reporting.


System Development:

  • Independently performs complete testing of software and validates system requirements are met, including data and code verification Independently develops and performs complex comprehensive test plans including data reasonability and code verification Independently develops complete systems documentation
  • Provides complex error free program code/scripts and/or database/table/interface design or setup
  • Provides documented solution alternatives to problems/issues
  • Follow-up to ensure programs/databases/interfaces meets business needs


Support:

  • Provides input to integration specifications
  • Provides task level detail for project plans
  • Coordinates effectively with team members, other teams' members, users and vendors
  • Provides or assists with resource estimates
  • Documents and facilitates issue resolution Raise issues to the appropriate level
  • Provides accurate and timely individual status report
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff
  • Provides consults to IT staff
  • Ensures that change management procedures are followed
  • Provides accurate and timely individual status reports and timesheets
  • Monitors, updates and enters new incidents as required


Customer Relationships:

  • Develops consensus within user community
  • Encourages and displays actions that result in high client satisfaction
  • Provides effective written and verbal communication to end users
  • Provides consults to end users


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: Two or more years experience in programming or analysis in a PC, Client Server or mainframe environment required.
  • At start of the employment, the employee will be required to become Oracle OIC certified.

  • Strong skills in SQL coding
  • API and Web Services (REST/SOAP)

  • Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
