IT Project Engineer II

OneOncology'sIT Projects & Integrations team delivers the technology initiatives that keep our managed practices modern, resilient, and secure- from new practice onboardings and M&A integrations to network refreshes, datacenter modernization, and infrastructure upgrades. The team executes across every OneOncology practice and partners closely with IT Operations, Service Delivery, and Security to bring projects from scope to production.

The ProjectEngineer II is a senior engineering role leading larger, multi-workstream projects — practiceonboardings, M&A integrations, and major infrastructure refreshes. The role owns technical delivery quality and mentors junior project staff. The ideal candidate brings multi-domain engineering depth and cross-functional project leadership.

This is a full-time remote position. Candidateslocatedin the Nashville, TN areaareexpected to work in a hybrid capacity from our corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Own solution architecture for medium-to-large multi-workstream projects.

• Lead planning and execution of infrastructure project workstreams, including newpracticeIT integrations and onboarding, network refreshes and optimization, server and hardware installations, and telecom/ISP setup and migrations.

• Serve as technical lead during new practice integrations —determininginfrastructure readiness requirements (network, server, workstation),validatingcompatibility and readiness of clinical and corporate IT systems, and directing coordinated on-site and remote configuration work.

• Drivecoordination with Service Delivery, IT Operations, Security, and vendors throughout project delivery.

• Partner with IT Project Managers to align engineering deliverables with project milestones, providing clear andtimelyupdates on status, risks, blockers, and resource needs.

• Conduct technical risk reviews and dependency mapping across workstreams.

• Mentor Project Technicians and ProjectEngineer Ion architecture, standards, and delivery discipline.

• Represent the Projects team in practice IT strategy conversations and QBRs where applicable.

• Contribute tostandardsevolution based on delivery learnings and post-project reviews.

• Own as-built documentation quality and clean hand-offs to IT Operations and Service Delivery.

• Partner withIT SMEs/Architectson complex or precedent-setting designs.

• Travelfrequentlyto practice sites in support of assigned projects.

RequiredQualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• High school diploma or GED

• 8 to 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering with project delivery ownership.

• Healthcare or MSP integration experience preferred.

• PCNSE, Aruba ACMA, VCP, or AZ-104stronglypreferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% throughout the continental United States.

• Experience with the following is a plus: Palo Alto, Aruba, VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta,Citrixand ServiceNow.

• Proven experience deploying and configuring infrastructure components, including network switches, servers, firewalls, and endpoint devices.
