Job Title: IT Project Manager

Work Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35243

Requirements:
  • Expected Working Hours and Shift: M-F, 8hr days in office, with an option to work remotely 1 day/week

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree and relevant IT project management experience

Experience:
  • 5-10 Years

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and deliver results.
  • It is preferred that the candidate have a background in cloud project management, including the documenting of proper steps required for pipeline creation, familiarity with data medallion processes and structure, data security, and data product delivery through dev, ua, and prod environments. 
  • Databricks specific experience is preferred.  

Job responsibilities:
  • The IT Project Manager will work to make sure our IT practices stay aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities will include
  • Lead the cross-functional delivery of a range of technology deliverables using advanced negotiation facilitation planning and dependency management techniques.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, detailed tasks, and resource requirements from concept creation through implementation.
  • Lead sprint planning and stand-up meetings to facilitate the entire project lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to break complex multi-disciplinary technology projects into prioritized and properly scoped plans of action.
  • Create clear visibility into status and progress within the team and for stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks.
  • Define and drive mitigation plans.


This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
