Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead multiple customer-facing technology initiatives within a SaaS environment. This individual will manage projects throughout the delivery lifecycle, coordinating external customers and internal technical teams while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery.
The ideal candidate has experience managing external client implementations, is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with several concurrent projects, and has previous exposure to payment processing or financial technology.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a five-day-per-week onsite schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple client-facing technical projects from initiation through implementation and delivery.
Serve as a primary point of coordination between external customers and internal technology and business teams.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and issues.
Provide clear and consistent project status updates to customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership.
Identify project risks and dependencies early and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Manage customer expectations and communicate potential impacts to scope, schedule, or cost.
Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate project meetings, requirements discussions, status reviews, and issue-resolution sessions.
Manage multiple projects and customer priorities simultaneously.
Support SaaS implementations, integrations, enhancements, and other technology initiatives.
Track project financials and ensure delivery remains aligned with established budgets.
Manage changes to project scope and assess their impact on schedule, resources, and cost.
Escalate critical risks and issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution.
Partner with technical teams to understand implementation requirements and communicate technical information effectively to customers.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Required Experience
Strong experience managing technical or software-related projects.
Demonstrated experience leading projects for external customers or clients.
Experience managing projects across the full delivery lifecycle.
Strong understanding of project scope, scheduling, risk, budget, and cost management.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
Experience working with SaaS products, platforms, or implementations.
Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Experience managing customer expectations, escalations, and changing requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to independently drive projects forward and identify potential delivery issues before they become larger problems.
Preferred Background
Experience within payment processing, fintech, merchant services, transaction processing, or related financial technology environments.
Experience managing customer implementations or integrations involving payment platforms.
Familiarity with Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
Experience working closely with software engineering, product, implementation, operations, and customer-facing teams.
