Campus Location: Maxwell Center, Marion, IN (This position has a hybrid schedule of 2 days onsite in Marion, IN and 3 days remote.)
Summary of Position: The IT Project Manager & Business Analyst is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects leveraging project management best practices while ensuring business requirements are properly elicited and documented. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, and resources while facilitating stakeholder engagement and project success through organizational change management. The position requires balancing traditional project management approaches with Agile practices as appropriate for each project''''s needs.
This position is hybrid or remote eligible.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects
Develop comprehensive project plans including WBS, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management
Lead project teams of varying sizes through the full project lifecycle
Manage project constraints (scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, risk) effectively
Facilitate project governance through appropriate documentation and approval processes
Implement and maintain project tracking
Conduct regular status meetings and provide timely reporting to stakeholders
Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity
Apply appropriate methodology (traditional waterfall or Agile) based on project needs
Business Analysis
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholder groups
Create business process models, use cases, and user stories as appropriate
Perform gap analysis between current and future states
Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements
Support solution selection processes and vendor evaluations
Document functional specifications for software integrations and data flows
Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
Organizational Change Management
Apply change management methodologies to support project adoption and success
Develop and execute communication plans for all project stakeholders
Assess organizational readiness and develop appropriate strategies
Identify and engage change champions across the university
Create training plans and support materials for end users
Monitor adoption metrics and address resistance to change
