DPP is seeking an IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work location: Partial onsite (Onsite Tues., Wed., Thurs. and as needed; remote 2 days/week) in Columbia, SC
Duration: 11 months
Terms: W2 contract to hire
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
 
Position summary:
  • Leading multiple IT related efforts in support of our Medicare LOB.
  • Working with customers, project teams, vendors and management to plan, schedule and implement solutions to meet our customers’ requirements.
  • Responsible for all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Daily tasks include scheduling and leading meetings, reporting status of efforts to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Creation or updating of appropriate documentation and most importantly problem solving.
Certification:
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required
Minimum required work experience:
  • 3 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams.
  • Completion of the client’s Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.
About the team:
  • The Medicare PMO is comprised of six Project Managers (four FTEs and two contractors). All team members have been with the organization for more than ten years.
  • The team follows a hybrid work schedule, working in the office three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday) and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • The team consists of self-starters who work independently; however, they maintain strong collaborative working relationships with one another.
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree (any major);
  • OR, Associates degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 7 years without a degree)
