Duties:
Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for lesser number of work efforts simultaneously and work efforts consisting of smaller size, low complexity and minimum system and customer impacts. Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations. Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis. Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort. Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.

"25% Develops and monitors project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from scope to post implementation. Ensures project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards.

"20% Identifies items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort. Monitors resource requirements based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.

"20% Responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications. Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts. This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports and other documentation.

"20% Identifies the impact of issues arising from the work efforts and/or resource requirements. Manages the project issues throughout the project life cycle. Communicates the implications of changes to the project scope with appropriate parties.

"15% Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM. null

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate s degree in any major.

Required Work Experience: 3 years IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams. Completion of the BCBSSC Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of work experience.

Partial Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Onsite and as Needed -GPC

Team: The Medicare PMO is comprised of (now) 6 project managers (4 FTEs, 2 Contractors.) All have been with BCBSSC for more than 10 years. The team works hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office (Tues Thursday) and can work remotely on Monday and Fridays.
The overall team are a bunch of self starters and work independently of each but they all have a good collaborative working relationship

Day To Day: Leading multiple IT related efforts in support of our Medicare LOB. Working with customers, project teams, vendors and management to plan, schedule and implement solutions to meet our customers requirements. Responsible for all phases of the project life cycle. Daily tasks include scheduling and leading meetings, reporting status of efforts to all levels of stakeholders. Creation or updating of appropriate documentation and most importantly problem solving.

Nice To Have: PMP certification is a plus, but not required
