As an IT Project Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role delivering complex, high‑impact initiatives across Schwab's Corporate Functions portfolio. You'll lead projects end to end-from planning and execution through delivery and closure-while operating with limited direction and a high degree of accountability.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted connector between project teams, partners, and senior leaders, ensuring work stays aligned to business outcomes and Schwab's long‑term goals. You'll bring structure, clarity, and adaptability to fast‑moving environments, helping teams focus on what matters most while navigating change with confidence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects, balancing scope, timelines, risk, and resources to maximize business impact
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to define project approaches, continuously improving ways of working and delivery practices
  • Set clear, outcome‑driven goals and use data and metrics to track progress, measure results, and inform decisions
  • Communicate with purpose and clarity, delivering high‑quality proposals, reports, and executive‑level updates
  • Act as a central point of coordination between delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability
  • Proactively identify, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies to keep work moving forward

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading projects or programs that deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk management solutions across teams
  • Strong expertise in project and program management, including planning, execution, and governance
  • Experience optimizing resources and continuously improving project management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, build strong partnerships, and foster a cooperative working environment
  • Skill in managing project scope to ensure alignment with agreed business outcomes and prevent scope creep
  • Experience creating and maintaining baselined project schedules aligned to milestones, MVPs, and business goals
  • Ability to manage project financials, including forecasting, variance monitoring, and partnership with portfolio management
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and resolving risks and issues, including developing mitigation and response plans
  • Proven capability to manage internal and external dependencies and remove blockers to progress
  • Strong communication planning skills, with experience tailoring messages for diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to create and maintain required project artifacts in alignment with CPMO or enterprise governance standards
  • High-performing understanding of MS Office, Sharepoint, Copilot, Rally, Jira, Smartsheet applications

  • Support different project management methodologies based on the needs of the portfolio (Waterfall, Scrum, Hybrid).
