IT Project Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

Working under general supervision, oversees one or more small to medium sized IT projects of low to moderate complexity. Assists in managing smaller aspects of larger programs. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Assists in defining requirements and designing and implementing project modifications and development. Incumbent could possess highly specialized knowledge of a specific technology.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
• 5 years of project management experience required; 3 years project management experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience/exposure to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), certification preferred.
• Experience working with a project management methodology.
• Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area.
• Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases. Experience in IT system implementations and/or system maintenance activities. Knowledge and certification of ITIL methodology is preferred Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
