Position Summary
  • The BTS Project Manager, for this role supporting IT regulatory assurance, is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight across a portfolio of technology process initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives, enterprise priorities, and IT delivery execution.
  • This role partners with senior business and IT leadership to evaluate demand, assess risks and dependencies, and guide projects from intake through completion.
  • The BTS Project Manager operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, driving delivery excellence, financial stewardship, and effective governance across multiple capability areas.
Responsibilities
  • Provide senior management and IT leadership with an integrated enterprise and business perspective on project progress, risks, dependencies, and the impact of project requirements on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Consult with business partners, multiple partner project teams and technical teams to define business problems, and formulate approaches that support desired business objectives.
  • Define project scope, timelines and objectives and assist in the development and justification of business cases.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT senior management, and peer managers to assess the cost and impact of recommended technology changes, clarify project priorities, and coordinate cross-functional efforts where common needs are identified.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision while remaining accountable for portfolio-level delivery excellence and financial performance.
  • Lead change control boards to manage the impact of scope changes across multiple capability areas.
  • Ensure successful and timely completion of all tasks and projects under direct and matrix accountability.
  • Conduct and document meetings, distribute minutes and action items, and follow up to ensure closure of commitments and progress toward stated objectives.
  • Facilitate status meetings with peer project managers, stakeholders, and business leaders, tailoring communications appropriately for each audience.
  • Maintain strong communication among IT team members, stakeholders, and business partners throughout project planning and execution to ensure alignment and continuity.
  • Assess risks in a timely manner and communicate them to the appropriate parties to support mitigation efforts and minimize overall impact.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards and applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including the Code of Conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, engineering, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT project, program, or portfolio management.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to manage demand intake, change control, risk management, and delivery governance.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive work to closure in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment with familiarity in compliance expectations preferred.
