The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle of multiple simultaneous IT projects in a GxP regulated environment. The PM will engage in new and in-flight projects to ensure project resources are aligned to deliver on schedule and within scope. The PM will be responsible for all phases of the SDLC process including (but not limited to) project plan development, risk and issue management, project communications, project tracking and reporting, project repository maintenance, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in IT Operations projects including transitions between Managed Service Providers (MSP), end-user-support services, IT security, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of project plan and related project management artifacts
Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
Facilitates recurring project meetings and operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
Identification, management and escalation of project risks and issues
Ensures all projects adhere to project methodology standards set by the company; Drives project management best practices
Clear and targeted communication of project information including project plan, key dates and project status
Management of project information within the project tracking application(s)
Coordination and alignment with vendor project managers as needed
Prepare weekly status reports for the Head of IT and develop executive summary reports
Minimum Required Qualifications:
10+ years experience in IT or biotech/pharma project management role
B.S. in computer science or other technical field
Experience managing transitions and/or implementations of IT managed service providers
Experience leading enterprise-wide change including training, communication, and change management
Understanding of project management methodologies and tools and experience managing projects under various methodologies
Experience with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) IT projects
Adaptability and flexibility; Experience applying project management best practices in the absence of entrenched project management standards
Very strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
Ability to effectively facilitate and manage cross-functional leadership meetings and discussions to quicken decisions.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to clearly and succinctly express ideas.
Strong team leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
Self-starter who is accountable, dependable, and a team player
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification
Experience managing GxP system implementations and knowledge of computer systems validation
Experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
Experience with software procurement and vendor relationship management
