Position Overview:
- IT Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of an enterprise emergency notification system across a multi-site manufacturing organization.
- This individual will manage the project from planning through deployment, coordinating IT, facilities, security, operations, site leadership and external vendors to ensure successful implementation across multiple locations.
- A proven track record managing enterprise technology rollouts, emergency notification or mass communication systems, and projects spanning multiple facilities.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Highly organized, hands-on Project Manager who can bring together technical teams, business stakeholders, site leadership and vendors to deliver a complex, multi-location technology rollout.
- Understand that emergency notification systems are operationally critical and can manage the details required to ensure reliable communications, successful user adoption and a smooth transition to ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of an enterprise emergency notification and mass communication platform.
- Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, budgets, resource plans and risk registers.
- Coordinate deployment activities across multiple manufacturing facilities, offices and operational locations.
- Partner with IT, Information Security, Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Human Resources, Operations and site leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships, implementation partners, system configuration and deployment dependencies.
- Coordinate integration with existing communication channels, including email, SMS/text messaging, voice calls, mobile applications and desktop notifications.
- Oversee requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, system configuration, testing, user acceptance testing and production deployment.
- Ensure emergency notification workflows, contact lists, escalation paths and communication templates are appropriately configured and validated.
- Develop rollout strategies, site-readiness checklists, training materials and end-user communications.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, escalating concerns as needed.
- Provide regular project status reports, executive updates and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate pilot deployments, user feedback, issue resolution and subsequent rollout phases.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, operational handoff and support procedures are established.
- Track project deliverables and confirm that implementation objectives are met within established timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, enterprise application deployments or infrastructure implementations.
- Demonstrated experience managing a mass notification, emergency alerting or enterprise communications system rollout.
- Experience coordinating technology deployments across multiple sites, departments or business units.
- Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners.
- Familiarity with system integration, testing, deployment planning and change management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet or similar platforms.
- Experience with one or more of the following is beneficial:
- Emergency Notification / Mass Alerting: Everbridge, AlertMedia, Rave Alert, OnSolve or similar platforms
- Communications: SMS, email, automated voice calls, mobile push notifications, desktop alerts
- Microsoft Ecosystem: Microsoft 365, Teams, Entra ID, Active Directory
- Project Management: Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence
- Integration: REST APIs, HR/employee directory integrations, SSO and identity management
- Operational Readiness: UAT, deployment planning, training, documentation and support handoff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting manufacturing facilities operating across multiple geographic locations.
- Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery, incident management or workplace emergency response.
- Experience integrating notification platforms with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, HR systems or employee directories.
- Experience with mobile communications, SMS gateways, automated voice notifications and desktop alerting.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
- Experience coordinating cybersecurity, privacy, compliance and access-control reviews for enterprise platforms.
