A leading medical institution is seeking an IT Research Business Systems Analyst to provide support for research administration, accounts receivable, and related financial systems.

IT Research Business Systems AnalystResponsibilities:

• Provide daily end-user support and triage highly complex system problems using incident management procedures and ticketing systems, and perform extensive data analysis and system integrity reviews, routinely validating system functions to confirm performance and results and ensure integrity during upgrades.
• Gather and document operational requirements from end users and key business stakeholders, translate them into functional specifications coordinated with development resources, validate requirements against needs, and isolate key design dependencies and decision points.
• Execute activities within established Software Development Life Cycle procedures covering system design and documentation, knowledge management, fixes, enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations, including process design, data and information architecture, user interface design, and planning and executing unit, integration, and end-user acceptance testing.
• Support a wide array of applications and integrations, including PeopleSoft Grants, Contracts, Projects, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger modules, as well as related applications supporting research, Student AR, and Sundry Billing, in partnership with accounting, research, and academic departments and IT units.
• Create training materials for system support, implementation, and change management, lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues, and work with the Enterprise Applications team, which may include managing programs, formulating strategies, and administering policies and processes.

IT Research Business Systems Analyst Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in functional/technical support of enterprise software, such as PeopleSoft Grants, Contracts, Projects, Billing, and AR modules.
• 5+ years of experience in a large, complex organization with comparable budget, size, scope of operation, and accounting systems.
• Functional experience with Oracle Cloud Grants, Projects, and AR implementation and support.
• Knowledge of database table structures, functions, processes, integration, and design components.
• High proficiency in SQL, query creation, and data extraction, organization, and analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of application design, functional/technical documentation requirements, and testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, and prioritize highly complex end-user requirements and present them to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with in-house and third-party vendor developers.
• Demonstrated understanding of technical change management procedures in supporting enterprise software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to complete full medical clearance for onsite or hybrid work.

Shift:

• Hybrid, 3 days onsite. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
• Non-local remote candidates will also be considered.
