IT Security Compliance Analyst Contract: 12-Months (No C2C or Third-Party Vendors) Location: Tallahassee, Florida (5 days, onsite)
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Compliance Analyst to support information security governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining security policies and standards, conducting risk assessments, supporting audit activities, implementing NIST security controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable security requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Must hold at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CGRC.
7+ years of experience across information security disciplines, including Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and hands-on security operations.
Experience developing information security policies and standards and implementing NIST SP 800-53 and/or NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) controls.
Proven experience conducting security risk assessments and supporting internal and external security audits.
Strong knowledge of enterprise information security principles across systems, applications, and databases, with at least four years of combined IT and security experience.
Preferred experience with Florida state government security, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, vulnerability management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and PowerShell automation.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and implement enterprise information security policies, standards, and controls aligned with NIST frameworks.
Perform security risk assessments and support internal and external compliance and audit activities.
Provide Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) oversight while supporting day-to-day information security operations.
Evaluate and strengthen security controls across enterprise systems, applications, databases, and infrastructure.
Support vulnerability management, remediation coordination, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
