We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated IT Security Engineer to join our growing team. This is a permanent role, where you will be responsible for maintaining the safety of our digital infrastructure, ensuring that our company and our clients are protected from cyber threats. You will be a part of our engineering team, working closely with them to integrate security measures into our systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze our computer systems and networks for security issues.
2. Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.
3. Design and execute tests to identify system vulnerabilities.
4. Participate in the change management process, including reviewing and implementing security impact of changes.
5. Respond to all system and/or network security breaches, conducting incident response analyses to determine security compromises.
6. Develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate investigative activities.
7. Act as a focal point for IT security investigations and direct a comprehensive response.
8. Conduct penetration testing, simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknesses.
9. Develop a set of security standards and best practices for the organization and recommend security enhancements to management as needed.
10. Develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach, including educating the workforce on information security through training and awareness.
11. Keep up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.
4. Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
5. Hands-on experience in security systems, including endpoint detection and response, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
6. Experience with SIEM, Cybersecurity, working in a SOC, Microsoft Defender, IAM Security, and Azure Entra ID.
7. Proficient in preparing written reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
9. Experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
10. Professional certification like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar will be considered a plus.
11. Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods.
12. Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
13. Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
14. Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software.
15. Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention.
16. Experience with incident response and investigation, vulnerability management, and security operations.
