As part of our shared services model, we provide centralized IT support to multiple businesses across North Carolina and Florida as well as other regions as we grow. We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Systems Administrator to join our team and support our expanding footprint.


Position Overview


The Senior Systems Administrator will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This includes managing large and small projects, hardware and software installations, supporting end users, maintaining system security, and resolving technical issues. This is a hands-on role that combines desktop support, systems administration, and network management.
 

This position is ideally based on site at our Raleigh, NC location but could be based at one of other sites located in Washington, Greenville, Wilmington or Charlotte, NC or Fort Myers, FL. A hybrid schedule may also be an option for the right candidate. This position supports facilities across several states. Occasional travel may be required.


Key Responsibilities


· Lead and direct enterprise-wide project and initiatives across software and hardware landscapes

· Support IT Director in leading IT team

· Monitor, respond to, and resolve help desk requests in a timely and professional manner.

· Create and manage user accounts, email, Active Directory, and access credentials across multiple platforms.

· Troubleshoot and support hardware, software, network, and printer/copier issues.

· Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and OneDrive.

· Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement cybersecurity measures; respond to incidents as needed.

· Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and network equipment.

· Set up, configure, and troubleshoot end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

· Maintain and support networking equipment including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.

· Track and manage IT assets across corporate and remote locations.

· Support the deployment and maintenance of technology infrastructure at all company facilities.

· Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations.

· Other duties as assigned by Manager.


Required Qualifications


· Minimum of 7 years in an IT support or systems administration role.

· Demonstrated success supporting users and systems across distributed environments.

· Experience in supporting and managing higher end technical projects

· Strong experience with:

  - Windows Active Directory, Intune, and Entra ID

  - Microsoft 365 suite (including SharePoint Online, Defender, and Exchange Online)

  - Help desk and remote support tools

  - Microsoft Server and Windows 11

  - Networking (routing, switching, VPNs, Wi-Fi)

  - Virtualization technologies (e.g., Scale computing, VMware)

  - ERP systems

· Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and response protocols.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues independently.

· Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

· Proficiency in documentation and ability to write technical procedures clearly.


Education & Certifications


· Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).

· Network+, Security+, or Cisco certifications a plus.

· Microsoft MCP or MCSA certifications preferred.
