Astrolab is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer Intern to support our day-to-day IT needs. This is a hands-on, customer-first role focused on keeping our team productive by resolving issues quickly and delivering great end-user support.
What you'll do:
- Own and manage incoming IT support tickets from start to finish
- Image, configure, and deploy laptops for new and existing employees
- Support user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, access, equipment)
- Track and manage IT assets (inventory, assignments, returns)
- Set up and support audio/video for meetings and team events
- Partner with the Cloud Engineering team when issues escalate or overlap
- Willing to jump into other areas of IT and assist where necessary
- Willing to learn new products and services
What you'll bring:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related fields
- Experience: At least 3 months of hands-on experience outside of the classroom, including extracurricular project teams, personal projects, or prior internship/work experience
- Exposure to Office 365 suite of products
- Exposure to Windows 11, MacOS, iOS
- Scripting capabilities a plus
Additional Responsibilities
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- You must be willing to work nights and weekends if necessary.
