IDR is seeking a IT Service Desk Technician to join one of our top clients for Columbia, Tennessee. This role involves providing frontline technical support within a structured IT service environment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations through prompt issue resolution.
Position Overview for the IT Service Desk Technician :
Deliver high-quality first-contact technical support to end-users via multiple communication channels such as phone, email, Teams, and service portal.
Log, categorize, and prioritize incidents while maintaining targeted First Contact Resolution (FCR) rates.
Support hardware troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
Manage support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 applications, and basic access management tasks.
Maintain detailed documentation, contribute to knowledge bases, and identify recurring issues for process improvement.
Requirements for the IT Service Desk Technician :
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of technical support or customer service experience preferred
Associate or Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred
ITIL Foundations certification preferred
