IT Service & Support Intern

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, customer service-oriented individual with a passion for technology and helping others. This role provides hands-on experience supporting end users in both office and manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will develop technical troubleshooting skills while learning how enterprise IT services support business operations across multiple locations. 

• Provide first-level technical support for desktop, laptop, mobile device, and printer-related issues. 

• Respond to support requests submitted through the IT service management system. 

• Assist with deployment, imaging, and configuration of Windows computers and mobile devices. 

• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues. 

• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

• Assist with user account administration including password resets, access requests, and onboarding activities. 

• Document incidents, requests, resolutions, and technical procedures. 

• Set up and maintain conference room technology and collaboration devices. 

• Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle activities. 

• Participate in IT projects focused on process improvement, automation, and user experience enhancements. 

• Work with a sense of urgency to remove roadblocks and provide excellent customer service. 

• Learn and follow IT security, data protection, and acceptable use policies. 

 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems, or related field. 
• Strong interest in IT support, customer service, and technology troubleshooting. 

• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. 

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

• Well organized with strong attention to detail. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. 

• Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude. 

• Energetic, inquisitive, self-motivated, and eager to learn. 

• Collaborative team-first mentality and strong work ethic. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting personal computers or mobile devices. 

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, or ticketing systems. 

• Previous customer service experience. 
• Participation in technology clubs, coursework, or personal technology projects.
