OVERVIEWThis IT Support Specialist will be based in Boca Raton, FL and will be responsible for onsite support of approximately eight locations within a given region. The position provides level 2 and 3 technical support for clients in person and remotely, closes Help Desk tickets within the required time frame, prioritizes support tickets while maintaining a high level of customer service, maintains hardware inventory for all sites in the assigned locations, and collaborates with internal teams and vendors on projects such as equipment refresh and new technology deployment. Daily travel within the region by car is required.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide a high level of local customer serviceClose Help Desk tickets in a timely fashionMaintain sites asset inventory in Asset Inventory SystemMaintain site standards and documentation in accordance with enterprise proceduresProvide support for projects by completing designated tasksProvide level 2 and 3 technical support for clients at local office and remote locationsSupport Windows laptops and desktops as well as iOS desktops, including end‑of‑life replacement, configuration and deploymentTroubleshoot all client issues, connectivity, package deployment, and virus removalSupport enterprise mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, cell, tablets and broadband devicesMaintain asset inventory of hardware within assigned territoryWork with outside contractors, project teams and internal staff to maintain and repair all IT assetsWork with the infrastructure team on network device maintenance, server patching and troubleshooting LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity issuesSupport annual equipment refresh including switch and server replacementTravel to local sites on a daily basis to approximately 80 % of the timeWORK EXPERIENCES3–5 years experience supporting a diverse user baseIn‑depth knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office and Windows networking; familiarity with Mac OS and iOSIn‑depth knowledge of the Windows Active Directory domain architecture and its interaction with the desktop environmentExperience using enterprise Help Desk incident and project management reporting toolsExperience with unattended build processes and imaging utilitiesExperience remediating operating system security vulnerabilities and patch implementation methodsExperience using remote client management toolsKnowledge of device encryption and anti‑virus softwareKnowledge of Wi‑Fi security and accessEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBA in Computer Science or related field preferred but not requiredMCSA or 5 years experience in a Windows environmentNetwork+ or 3 years supporting enterprise network infrastructureSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNoneESSENTIAL CAPABILITIESExcellent customer service skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to troubleshoot desktop and infrastructure issues and resolve complex problemsAbility to make decisions recognizing established precedents and practices and to use resourcefulness and tact in solving new problemsAbility to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting department rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresStrong analytical and research skills; ability to ascertain priorities and meet deadlines and objectivesStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsAbility to analyze and optimize servers and workstations, perform network integration, installation and configurationTravel required – 80 % within the assigned areaMust be authorized to work in the United StatesCORE COMPETENCIESAnalytical Thinking & Decision Making – Identifies and understands trends and/or issues; connects data points through analysis to arrive at a logical conclusion.Effective Communication – Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner by tailoring one's message to fit the interests and needs of the audience.Customer Orientation – Keeps internal and/or external customers in mind at all times.
