Summary:

• Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes.
• Provides technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline.
• Collaborates on an ongoing basis with the Business Systems Analyst. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and/or enhances existing or new systems/ web pages that are reliable and efficient.
• Responsible for the writing and updating full-stack applications on existing hardware and business processes.
• Performs Power BI dashboard development, SQL data structuring, API integrations, workflow automation, and cloud development. Experience with Agile methodology, software lifecycle, and scrum ceremonies.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, IT Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe) preferred or DevOps methodologies preferred.

Relevant Experience:

• 11-15 years of experience in advanced software engineering, full-stack development, and large-scale enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and deployment of enterprise-level applications.

• Architect and optimize large-scale data pipelines, software solutions, and integrations.

• Lead cross-functional teams in implementing high-impact software projects.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security, performance, and compliance.

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and optimization of complex systems.

Other:

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, Java, .NET, AWS, and cloud-based technologies.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud automation, ERP integration, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with SCADA operations, Power BI, AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.

• Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements like SOX and cybersecurity best practices.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Own architecture design, guidance and version-support for a suite of enterprise business applications, assessing upgrade impact, patches, and enablement requests.

• Directly responsible for developing application architecture and leading architecture reviews, partnering with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment with corporate-level standards and guidance.

• Lead vendor risk assessment and architecture review for a document management system replacement initiative, including capability gap analysis, ROM/proposal evaluation, and technical ownership through implementation.

• Drive architecture governance and nuclear regulatory compliance for the Nuclear AI Platform strategy, covering Bifrost credential/readiness requirements and Gemini enablement.

• Maintain and update nuclear regulatory compliance documentation as new platforms (e.g., Gemini) and processes are introduced.

• Standardize and maintain the security onboarding process for contractors and non-US personnel supporting Nuclear IT engagements.

• Lead architecture impact assessments for API gateway migrations (e.g., migration to TYK) affecting core nuclear business systems.

• Review and guide architecture for data pipeline/CDC initiatives (e.g., Lakeflow Connect two-pipeline architecture) supporting Nuclear Databricks migration.

• Evaluate hosting and deployment options for emerging platforms (e.g., open-source LLMs, on-prem appliances vs. cloud container services) against Nuclear security requirements.

• Serve as a technical architecture authority for Nuclear IT application reviews, vendor proposals, and modernization initiatives.

• Lead architecture review sessions with application teams, assessing designs for security, scalability, integration, and regulatory compliance.

• Partner with vendors and contractors on technical evaluations, risk assessments, and implementation oversight.

• Define and maintain architecture standards, decision records, and technical documentation for the Nuclear IT portfolio.

• Ensure architecture decisions align with corporate security, compliance, and nuclear regulatory policies and standards.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to project teams and junior architects/engineers.

• Define and monitor architecture-related metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems under review.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
