Department: IT Software QA - 215

Primary Purpose:

Test ARUP developed and commercial off the shelf software. Perform analysis to ensure software products achieve design specifications, quality standards and best practices. Create and execute customized functional and non-functional test cases. Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and procedures for complex system integration. Create defect reports and maintain records of test progress and test results. Communicate with product team members, management and technical support on test efforts and support needs. May assist and mentor less experienced work peers. Works with minimal supervision and wide latitude for independent decision making.

Essential Functions:

Test ARUP developed and off the shelf applications using existing operating systems and hardware configurations

Test software using appropriate test methodologies

Create test cases and scripts

Identify and report defects

Determine testing priorities and identify quality risks

Provides support, resolves questions and issues

Provide training as needed

Conduct presentations as needed

Develop and maintain appropriate test documentation for regulatory compliance

Assist and mentor less experienced testers as needed

Other duties as assigned

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
