IT SpecialistHarrisonburg, VirginiaDirect Hire | $80,000–$85,000 The IT Specialist will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the technology infrastructure across several small businesses operating under one centralized accounting system. This role will provide hands-on technical support for approximately 100 users, ensuring reliable performance of hardware, software, network, and communication systems that support day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise who can manage multiple systems, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and contribute to ongoing technological improvements. Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day technical support for approximately 100 end users across multiple business units
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of new IT systems and services, including software integrations and e-commerce platforms
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and reliability
- Support IT infrastructure including servers, workstations, network equipment, phone systems, and data storage systems
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, implementation, and support
- Maintain system documentation, procedures, and IT asset inventory
- Ensure data security, backup procedures, and compliance with company policies

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations
- Strong working knowledge of computer systems, networks, security, and systems administration
- Experience supporting databases, data storage systems, and business applications
- Familiarity with vendor coordination and software and hardware implementation
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
