IT Specialist

Job Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining the company’s technology systems and providing reliable technical support to employees. This role ensures the proper operation, security, and performance of computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and other IT systems that support daily business operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

IT Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and other IT-related issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair computers, software, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist employees with technology-related questions and provide basic guidance on company systems and applications.

Systems & Network Support:

  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity, system performance, software updates, and routine data backups.
  • Set up computers, user accounts, software, and IT equipment for new employees.
  • Support the maintenance and reliability of company IT systems and infrastructure.

IT Security & Asset Management:

  • Support IT security by maintaining antivirus software, system updates, user access, and basic cybersecurity practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment assignments, repairs, maintenance, and software licenses.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for equipment repairs, technical support, and other IT-related services when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least three (3) years of progressively responsible IT support or related experience.
  • Equivalent education and relevant IT work experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in IT support, systems administration, help desk support, or a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, printers, and basic cybersecurity principles.
  • Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications, are preferred but not required.

  • Perform other IT-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
