IT Support Contractor

We are seeking a motivated IT Support professional to join a highly technical support team responsible for supporting a complex enterprise environment. This is a software-focused support position supporting end users across a wide range of business-critical applications.

A company operating in the financial services industry, located in downtown New York.

Description

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for enterprise software applications.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, user accounts, networking, and application issues.
• Support and resolve issues related to Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Assist with troubleshooting trading and business-critical applications.
• Perform basic network diagnostics and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership through resolution.
• Document incidents, solutions, and technical procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with end users.

Profile

Required Qualifications

• Experience in IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or End User Support within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Windows infrastructure and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with software and application support.
• Basic networking troubleshooting experience.
• Foundational understanding of IT security concepts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to PowerShell scripting.
• Basic Linux experience.
• Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
• Exposure to Python scripting.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar certifications.

Job Offer
