Amazon Leo IT Services is looking to hire a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for our infrastructure, warehousing operations, production environments, and laboratory facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring reliable technology systems across our organization.

Key job responsibilities

This shift will be dayshift, 7:00AM - 5:30PM, Sun-Wed. Shift assignments or hours are subject to change based on business need.

  • Process tickets via approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) to triage and resolve customer issues.
  • Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and maxOS workstations
  • Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot bare-metal windows and Linux servers
  • Configure, Deploy, and Replace network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Participate in hiring, training and development of others
  • Provide technical support for Amazon Leo Production, lab and launch Infrastructure, components, and associated software
  • Provide remote support for Amazon Leo employees and infrastructure worldwide
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades
  • Assist with project implementations and technology deployments
  • Drives engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities

A day in the life

You start the day by reviewing critical incidents that need to be prioritized. After addressing immediate concerns, you will join the daily team stand up and work on projects and tickets critical to production and take part with a rotating on-call. In this role, you will build relationships with production teams, mentor, and ensure stability and standardization. Operational excellence and customer obsession are core values of this role, as we own providing best-in-class services to the critical Amazon Leo systems.
