IT Support Engineer (Win 11 Migration) On-site 5 days/week in Boston, MA 5 months contract The tech should have knowledge in upgrading Win 10 devices to Win 11. Troubleshoot issues in refres, hardware refresh/troubleshooting, end user IT support etc. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Windows 11 Migration and Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role focuses on successfully migrating end-user systems to Windows 11 while providing comprehensive desktop support services. Windows 11 Migration: Plan and execute the migration of user systems from older Windows versions to Windows 11 with minimal disruption. Conduct pre-migration assessments, including hardware compatibility checks and data backup preparations. Perform software and application compatibility testing and resolve related issues. Coordinate with users to schedule migrations, ensuring minimal impact on productivity. Document and address migration-related issues and escalate complex problems to senior technical teams. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience in desktop support, with at least 4 years of experience in system migrations or upgrades. Technical Skills: Expertise in Windows 10/11 operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of hardware compatibility, imaging tools, and system migration best practices. Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and enterprise tools.
