About the Role
As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll help ensure HM&M’s technology environment runs smoothly and reliably. You’ll serve as the primary local resource for employees and leaders seeking technical guidance, support, and solutions that keep them productive.
In this role, you’ll provide broad technical support across the firm’s IT environment, including system administration, troubleshooting, network maintenance, end-user support, and operational improvements. You’ll help maintain secure, efficient hardware and software systems, support cybersecurity practices, and enhance the overall technology experience across the office.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, mobile device, and network connectivity issues for end users.
- System Administration Install, configure, and maintain Windows; manage Active Directory, Office 365, and related enterprise tools.
- Network Operations Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Software Deployment & Maintenance Install and update applications to streamline deployments and maintain system performance.
- Cybersecurity & Data Protection Support cybersecurity policies, user training, and best practices; assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Project Coordination Assist with IT projects, reporting, scheduling, and cross‑department collaboration to improve IT operations.
- End‑User Training & Support Provide onboarding support, train users on systems, tools, and equipment (including AV and conference room technology).
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting, prioritization skills, customer-focused communication and adaptability.
- Experience working in a Windows environment. Experience with Rightworks is a plus.
- Experience in professional services or shared services environments is preferred.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and a people-first approach while maintaining a professional presence.
