A position supporting a designated academic area as part of the Integrated Technology Support Services (ITSS) team, providing timely support to faculty and staff technology in their offices, classrooms/labs, and conference rooms. This position will:

  • Work with IT staff in the College of Health Professions in supporting faculty and staff technology. This may include setting up and refreshing images in classrooms and labs; installing specialized software, helping to coordinate the purchase and deployment of specialized equipment, and tracking equipment in the campus inventory system;
  • Manage incoming work requests and coordinate faculty and staff support with other members of college IT staff. Complete college projects and tasks in offices, classrooms, and labs as assigned;
  • Adhere strictly to all campus and college security standards and policies;
  • Report to the ITSS team manager as an IT Division employee and attend team meetings and trainings as specified.

Required Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting technology with emphasis on 2 or more of the following technologies in a full time position:

  • Microsoft Active Directory or other user account management system

  • Development in system management software such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Manager, JAMF, etc.

  • Security & Vulnerability Management

  • Microsoft and Apple Command Line Interfaces such as PowerShell, Terminal, etc.

  • AV Technologies

  • Experience providing support for systems and software, such as Windows and Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

  • Experience imaging computers

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with healthcare lab simulation equipment and software, including CAE, Gaumard, and Elevate Healthcare manikins, as well as LearningSpace and other simulation management systems
  • Experience evaluating and maintaining the security of computer stations
  • Experience providing formal or informal training to peers and those outside of peer group
  • Experience managing an assigned workload and coordinating resources for competing projects and tasks without requiring guidance from other parties
  • Experience working with users to determine action plans
  • Experience working on teams, possibly having led a project or coordinated work on projects
  • Experience working in higher education
