Work Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Shift: 1st Shift
  
The Level 2 IT Technician provides technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for IT systems. This role requires proficiency in IT operating systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. The technician is detail-oriented, adaptable, and customer-focused, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance of technology infrastructure.
 


  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and supporting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Familiarity with system installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Experience in performing system upgrades, patches, and updates.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security best practices and the ability to assist in the administration and maintenance of security systems.
  • Ability to provide user support in accessing and utilizing various software applications and tools.

  • Knowledgeable about IT inventory management and maintaining organized hardware and software inventory.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Previous experience in a technical support role or similar IT position.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Work Environment: 
  • This position works primarily at a desk. It may require occasional travel within Howmet Aerospace's global manufacturing facilities. This role will be required to work off-hours as needed.
