Rapidly growing manufacturer seeking a hands-on IT Support Technician to provide in-house technology support to our staff and keep daily operations running smoothly.




Position Summary

The IT Support Technician will serve as the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance. This role is highly user-focused, ensuring our team has reliable access to their devices, software, and business tools. The ideal candidate is patient, approachable, and skilled at troubleshooting common IT issues, particularly with Mac hardware and Microsoft 365 applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line IT support to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Set up and configure Mac computers, peripherals, and company-approved applications for new employees.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 accounts (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and resolve user issues.
  • Troubleshoot and support company devices such as printers, scanners, and mobile phones.
  • Assist employees with email setup, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Perform routine software updates, backups, and security checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, software licenses, and user access.
  • Create and maintain simple guides or “how-to” instructions for staff.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors when specialized support is needed.
  • Provide occasional one-on-one or small group training on basic IT tools and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 1–3 years of IT support, help desk, or technical customer service experience.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS hardware and software.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices, including recognizing and mitigating spam, phishing, and other electronic attacks.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly way.
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.
  • Friendly, patient, and approachable communication style.

Preferred:
  • Experience in a small business environment (50–100 users).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, or other collaboration platforms.
  • Basic understanding of network connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPNs, shared drives).
