Title: IT Support Technician 2
Location: Orangeburg, SC
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift : 1st Shift | 7a till 3:30p
Compensation: $24/hr

Overview:

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for desktop and laptop systems, printers, software applications, and end-user connectivity issues. This role will serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests while helping maintain IT assets, deploy hardware and software, and support daily operations across the facility.
The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and operating system issues while delivering excellent customer service to internal users.


Job Duties: 

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
  • Deploy software, patches, updates, and operating system images.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and end-user applications.
  • Assist with network-related troubleshooting and escalation to Network Administrators when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and tracking of IT assets and equipment.
  • Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors and service providers.
  • Support printer operations and manage printer consumables.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support records.
  • Assist with workstation setup, moves, and upgrades.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on computer systems and peripherals.
  • Support mobile devices and end-user technology as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of imaging and deployment processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of related IT support experience.
  • Working knowledge of desktop hardware and operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Windows, MacOS, and mobile devices.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
