Job Overview

Cumberland Christian School, a comprehensive Christian educational institution for students from preschool through to high school, is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver responsible for maintaining our school's technology infrastructure, providing vital technical support to both staff and students, and ensuring a seamless and effective learning environment. Responsibilities

* Provide first and second-line technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues for our faculty, staff, and students.
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other essential classroom technology.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, minimising disruption to educational activities.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources and school-wide systems.
* Assist in the maintenance and management of the school's network infrastructure, including servers and wireless networks.
* Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT equipment and software licences.
* Support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance the learning experience.
* Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and user guides.
* Ensure the security and integrity of the school's data and IT systems.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in an IT support role or a similar technical position.
* Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
* Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* A patient, professional, and customer-focused approach to support.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* Experience working within an educational environment is highly desirable.
