Summary: The IT System Administrator I provides hands-on, in-office support for core IT systems, cloud services, virtual machines, and SaaS platforms under the guidance of senior administrators. This role supports identity and access management (Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID), Windows virtual machine administration, SaaS application access, and foundational networking. Due to system access and security requirements, this position requires a consistent on-site presence in the Austin office.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
Systems, Identity & Server Administration
Windows Virtual Machine Management
Assist with administration and support of Windows-based virtual machines (on prem and/or cloud)
Perform routine VM tasks such as:
User access changes
Service restarts
Patch coordination
Basic performance and availability checks
Assist with VM provisioning, decommissioning, and documentation under senior oversight
Escalate OS-level, performance, or application issues appropriately
SaaS Application Administration
Support day-to-day administration of enterprise SaaS platforms, including:
Zoom Contact Center
Zendesk
Oracle (cloud-based applications)
Jira (and related Atlassian services)
Provision and deprovision of user access based on role, approval, and documented procedures
Troubleshoot SaaS access issues involving SSO, MFA, permissions, and integrations
Perform periodic access reviews and assist with vendor coordination for SaaS support issues

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Up to 2 years of experience may substitute for degree)
1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk roles
Hands-on experience with:
Windows operating systems
Active Directory and Entra ID fundamentals
SaaS user access management
Foundational understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
