The IT Systems Specialist IV is a position used by various agencies throughout the state. This is advanced managerial and administrative work directing IT operations in the areas of telecommunications systems, systems administration, mainframe/midrange systems, network infrastructure, database management, and/or security & compliance for a state agency. Incumbents in this class are responsible for managing, planning, directing, and coordinating IT Systems Specialist functions with their agency. Incumbents are expected to have complex IT knowledge and skills and be technical experts in one or more recognized area.
