Job Description: IT Team Lead.
Reports To: President.
Employment Type: Full-Time.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on IT Team Lead to oversee and train a team of IT technicians while also driving business growth through client relationship management and new opportunity development. This is a hybrid role combining technical leadership, staff development, and sales/growth. Ideal for someone who understands IT operations deeply but also enjoys building relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Training:
  • Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of IT technicians handling support, installations, and service calls.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training programs to build technical skills and customer service standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Monitor ticket queues, escalations, and service quality to ensure SLAs and response-time targets are met.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture and resolve personnel or workflow issues as they arise.

Business Development:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotes, and service agreements for prospective clients.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and community/business functions.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for new IT service offerings.

Operational & Cross-Functional Duties:
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues requiring managerial input.
  • Coordinate with other departments (sales, operations, finance) to align IT service delivery with business goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Assist leadership with budgeting, resource planning, and vendor negotiations as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support/services, with at least 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or management role.
  • Strong technical background (networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, systems administration, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic/relationship-building activities.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).
  • Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT consulting environment.
  • Prior experience creating training curricula or knowledge-based content.
  • Familiarity with proposal writing, and RFP responses.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $55,000-$60,000.
