Position Summary:
The IT Technician keep the technology of Dexter in good working order and accessible to employees. They also work closely with their team, ensuring each situation is thoroughly resolved and all components are in working order.
Major Responsibilities - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
- Setup, install and maintain computing hardware
- Install network hardware
- Deploy and support software
- Manage requests for both hardware and applications using helpdesk ticketing system
- Repair and troubleshoot computer systems, mobile, and networking hardware in the IT repair lab
- Configure and maintain logs of machine issues, errors, and repairs evaluated and serviced
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software used
- Conduct hardware and software maintenance
- Ability to support multiple sites remotely
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field such as computer science, technical support, and information technology or equivalent experience
- AA CompTIA A+ certification for computer technology (exclusions may apply, particularly for web-development computer technicians)
- 5+ years of experience in computer networks solutions, operating systems, or other IT-related positions
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in programs such as Active Directory, Microsoft PowerShell, and Microsoft O365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Time management and organizational skills
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 + bonus
